Hi,
i use just a collar, so why do some people choose to use a harness? Do you find that you have better control over the dog? What breed of dog should a harness be used on and why do you use it?

Yes, they are so much easier to control your dog and makes walking them so much easier. That and they do fit better and they don't slip out. I have had to chase a dog down that slipped out of his collar and that was no fun.

I have never used a harness as well. I normally just just a collar and a leash and take my dog for a walk it works just fine for me.

My Pomeranian weighs 2lbs. A harness would be overkill. I have seen them be effective on larger dogs, but a decently trained small dog really doesn't need one.

I had a friend who had a giant dog, named Brandy. Brandy had a problem with her back, or something like that, so they used a harness. Something about it is supposed to help support her and allow her to walk easier.
