I have a lab who is very playful with every toy possible. What kind of tricks are easily taught? I know that sometimes she has something in her mouth, she then throws it up in the air using her mouth and then catches it again. It is really awesome and funny to see. However, i really don't know where she learned this because we didn't teach it to her. She loves to play catch over anything else.

Our dog can fetch, shake, roll over, stay and we are trying to get him to catch a frisbee, but so far he isn't doing that great.

My dogs generally teach themselves tricks. The funny thing is that I adopted a stray dog and he seemed really happy to have a safe home. One night he sat down in the middle of the living room and gave a couple of friendly barks. We looked at him to see what he wanted and once he had our attention he sat up.....then stood up and danced around in circles on his hind legs....the hopped on them a bit...danced some more and sat down. We clapped of course and he seemed pleased. It was like he was showing us that he was talented and not just some begger off the street. He's such a funny little guy.

Well our dog really only does the sit and he will give you his paw and shake. That is about it. Everything else we have tried to teach her she just looks at us like we are dumb.

Our older dogs always were great teachers for the younger one. I love that, now we need some more dogs.
