Its sad that people in my country do not think highly of dogs. If a dog lover from Europe or America was to come to my country they would be surprised at how dogs are treated here. There is this guy in our neighborhood who walks his 4 dogs every morning. People find it amusing that someone would be taking a dog for walks Smiley

while a lot of people give special attention to their dogs in my country, it's no longer news to discover some drunkards cooking dogs and eating their meat as a delicacy with beer and alcohol.  it wasn't common before for locals to walk dogs on the streets but i think all that has changed thanks to media.

WOW! I guess I have lived a sheltered life, I never thought anyone would ever eat a dog. I am from America, and while we have the wonders of Michael Vick like people , aside from them dogs are pretty well taken care of.

i heard this funny comment that people in China eat anything with a heartbeat...but seriously though who in there right mind would eat a dog? It just goes against human nature

I have heard the same comment. I agree that it is just not humane to do that!

I'm a vegetarian so I don't eat anything with a beating heart! But in the case of my pomeranian....she wouldn't rate a snack. Of course I value her little life far above the scum that might try to harm her....so they better stay away!

I've been to a number of countries that eat, kill and torture dogs and cats. I have no use for any of them.

I'm from America and we treat our dogs well unlike Michael Vick (like someone else said).  But I have heard of countries that do eat dog and think of it as a delecacy.

Funny what some think of as food, in this world. Alot of people are still eating DOG, all over the world.
 So Sad.

I still think it's incredibly gross. But then I've go no use for the French and their propensity for eating horses either.

Our dog is part of our family so there is no way that I would ever consider eating her or any other dog for that matter. To me that is just gross.

Same here. She is the smallest member of the family but a very important part of it. I maintain that a house isn't a home unless a canine lives there. I refer to Urs as "my little heart" because she it.
