I love doxies. I had one in college and now I don`t have one, but would love another.

I have a friend involved with a Doxie rescue. She has 4 of them and I met the latest addition recently. She named her "Tessa" and when I walked into the house Tessa ran up my body into my arms and was smothering me with kisses before she realised that I wasn't her new mommy. She had the funniest look on her little Doxie face as though she wasn't sure what to do. She saw her mommy behind me and I guess it made her feel safe....so she resumed her greeting. Sweet little dogs, all of them. I can't imagine abusing something so sweet and gentle.

I have always wanted a Dachshund but have never gotten one. I thought they were always so cute and loyal

Well I'm convinced that I have the word "Sucker" written in a canine language on my forehead! They all know that I'm a sucker for a little dog or cat. The Doxies are adorable and my friend has some of the most spoiled but best behaved Doxies around. I think their instinct tells them that I'm a friend and will take good care of them.
