I've tried the Green Dental bones and i believe they really help with my lab's teeth. Although i find that after a while she sometimes has bad breath. What do you find to be the best thing for bad breath and where do you get it?

I use the dog's toothpaste also. She don't care for when I do this so I will have to check out your tips. I think she just don't care to sit still though.

What types of dog toothpaste do you recommend using? And I guess you can get them at pet stores?

I also use a dog toothpaste and, more importantly, started when they were puppies. I also give them a treat when I'm done.

I had a schnauzer years ago, who had to have her teeth brushed periodically.  The dog bones weren't enough after a while.

Yes, I get mine at the local petstore. I do think the bigger ones like Petsmart carry toothpaste for dogs also. I haven't ever tried the bones you can buy to clean their teeth. I will have to give them a try.

I saw some little doggy candy in a tin in the aisle at Food Lion, it says it helps to clean teeth and freshen breath. Anyone heard of it? I can't remember the name.
