our dogs --3 (all with a fraction of mongrel and a fraction of shih tzu) have developed a habit of  barking loudly at night.  they seem to be competing with other dogs in the neighborhood.  it really gets to us since they do it even while we're still awake, about the same time that we're watching television.  how can i get them to stop?

you can buy a collar they sprays a fine mst of water when they bark and this helps with most dogs and it is harmless to them

I have never heard of this collar. I sure could have used this when we had our Keeshound. He barked at everything that moved at night. So I know exactly how you feel, except I didn't have three dogs barking at once.

My grandMother always said feed em more and they won`t bark so much. It worked great on my terrier, but I had to walk her alot more. Undecided

Eliminate the cause of their barking, tell them no. Get a rolled up newspaper and slap the palm of your hand with it (dogs don't like that noise).

What exactly does a citronella collar do? I have never heard of one. I will try to feed my dog more, maybe he won't bark as much.

May I ask where you found this coller? I have never heard of a Citrenella collar but it sounds like a very good option. My mom has a little yipper that barks all the time. I will have to tell her about this collar.
