Kennel Cough

Has anyone's dog ever had this? We got our last dog from a shelter when she was a puppy and about a week after bringing her home she developed this cough. They ended up giving her some antibotics but I thought she was chocking at first. Scared me when she first started coughing like this. I guess this is fairly commen when getting dog from the pound or shelter.

My neighbor's dog had that, it eventually went away, as long as you got it antibiotics she will be fine :-)

Innoculating a dog against this is probably the best thing you can do for them, to ehdge against exposure if you ever have to board them in the future.

You would think that the shelter where I got the dog would have onocullated the dog then? I have heard it is so common that I would have just thought that they did.
