i have a lab. Does anyone have good pointers for nail trimming? I really don't do this because no one has showed me how. I usually get the vet to do it for me. Anyone have an easier way, please let me know. Thanks

i used to have a lab and he would not let me cut  his nails at all but as soon as he was a the vet he was as good as gold so i think its summit in there breed that they dont let there owners do it for them because they are so big and strong it makes it hard to do it

I don't personally trim my dog's nails I always let the vet do it, I don't want to mess up and cut them too short or whatnot.

My husband cuts the nails on our dog. He buys that powder where if you cut them to low you put it on and it will stop the bleeding. He's only had to use it once but it does seem to work if anyone wants to try it.

I take my dog to the vet to get his nails trimmed. It's just easier, even though they charge me $15 each time. I was never taught how to trim them myself, so I don't mind the vet doing it.

Wow....I just do it myself. I use clippers with a guard on them. I started when they were puppies so it was never an issue. I've even been known to paid her nails!

It looked cute!
