My dog has been eating the cat's food lately. Is this alright for him? I don't know how to stop him, before I know it the cat's food is all gone.

My mom's Boxer is always eating the cat food, and he has been for at least 5 years. He hasn't experienced any side effects that we know of. He does still eat some of his own food too, by the way, and the cat also eats the dog food.

I have a lab that eats the neighbors cat food after she has finished eating her huge bowl of dog food. I believe the foods to be similar in nature, so the animals really don't taste that big of a difference. As long as your animal is looking healthy i wouldn't worry about it, nutrient wise, because they appear to be healthy.
