Physical Attributes
Boston Terriers are characterized by erect ears, a short tapering tail, a wide flat head with no wrinkels. They also have a short smooth coat which is either black or brown with white markings.They weigh between 15 pounds and 25 pounds.
Health Information
In hot weather the dog may suffer from heat exhaustion due to its shortened muzzle. Boston terriers also suffer from eye cataracts, deafness, heart murmur and allergies.
Miscellaneous Information
Boston terriers were bred from bulldogs and terriers. Primary use was to hunt rats and bait bulls. The dog is quite active with a nice sense of humor.
Boston terriers also enjoy being around people and when properly trained can get along well with children and non canine animals.
